Miss Saratoga USA 2013

Picture
This August, Courtney was selected from a pool of over 1,000 applicants to represent our great state in the 2013 Miss New York USA Pageant. After a chance encounter with a pageant recruiter, she embarked on the regional competition process eventually leading to her title,  Miss Saratoga USA 2013. As a native to the area, she looks forward to representing the local community while she progresses towards Miss USA. Enlightened by her mother's success in the 1984 Miss America pageant, the spirit of competition came naturally. Courtney is a 21 year-old undergraduate at Johns Hopkins University currently finishing a degree in pre-medicine and applying to medical school. It is this career path that has motivated her pursuit of  the Donald Trump Miss New York scholarship, awarded to the pageant winner.  After an early exposure to her father's struggle with multiple sclerosis, Courtney set her sights toward specialization in MS research. Accordingly, her pageant charity is the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and it is here that pageant fundraising requirements will be directed. As an avid member of the society, Courtney participates in the National Multiple Sclerosis Marathon in Orlando, Florida, and on April, 15 2013 she will compete in the Boston Marathon on the National MS Society team.
